Ingredients:

  • For the dough:

    • Flour — 400 g;
    • Milk — 200 ml;
    • Dry yeast — 10 g;
    • Sugar — 1 tbsp;
    • Salt — 1/2 tsp;
    • Egg — 1;
    • Vegetable oil — 2 tbsp.

    • Meat (beef or pork) — 300 g;
    • Onion — 1;
    • Salt, pepper — to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Prepare the dough. In a bowl sift flour, add yeast, sugar and salt. In another bowl mix milk, egg and vegetable oil. Gradually add the flour-yeast mixture into the milk mixture, stirring until the dough is smooth.

  5. Divide the risen dough into equal portions and form balls.
  6. Roll the dough balls into flat circles about 5 mm thick.
  7. Put the filling on each circle, leaving the edges free.
  8. Fold the edges toward the center to form a boat shape.
  9. Place the rastigai on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Brush the rastigai with beaten egg.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes, until golden.
  12. Serve the meat and onion rastigai hot.
