Bryndza has a pronounced sour-milk flavor, moderately salted. Texture — firm, slightly crumbly, with a small amount of voids and evenly distributed small eyes of irregular, angular and elongated shapes. Color — white to light yellow, uniform throughout the mass.

Bryndza is used as a standalone snack, as well as in the preparation of various dishes.
