Terpug is a marine fish in the Scorpaenidae family (scorpionfishes). It inhabits the cold waters of the seas, primarily in the northern Pacific Ocean.

Terpug has an elongated body covered with small scales. The back coloration is dark green or brown, and the belly is silver. Depending on the species, the size of the fish can reach up to 150 cm in length and weigh up to 6 kg.
