Ralston Corn Flakes are a type of dry breakfast cereal made from corn grain.
To prepare the flakes, the corn kernels are cleaned of husks and germ, ground and sieved. Then the flakes undergo thermal processing — extrusion. The resulting mass is formed into flakes, which are then dried and fried.
Corn flakes can be enriched with vitamins and minerals.
Corn flakes can be consumed with milk, kefir, yogurt or juice. Flakes can also be used to prepare porridge by adding them to boiling water or milk.
