Yellow zucchini, frozen
Zucchini is an annual herbaceous plant of the Cucurbitaceae family. The fruits are elongated and can reach up to 25 cm in length and up to 2.2 kg in weight. Immature young fruits (up to 25 cm) with tender skin and undeveloped seeds have the best flavor and are used in cooking.
Zucchini is rich in beneficial substances and trace elements such as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, B vitamins, and ascorbic acid.
Zucchini is low in calories and easy to digest, therefore it is often used in dietary and children's nutrition.
Zucchini can be boiled, stewed, fried, baked, grilled, steamed, or barbecued. It pairs well with other vegetables, grains, meat, fish, mushrooms, legumes, cheese and other products.
Frozen zucchinis preserve almost all the beneficial properties of fresh vegetables. Freezing is one of the simplest and most convenient ways to stock up for winter.
When choosing frozen zucchinis, pay attention to the integrity of the packaging, shelf life, and the absence of chunks of ice and snow in the bag of vegetables.
Storage conditions:
Frozen zucchinis should be stored in a freezer at a temperature not higher than -18 °C. Shelf life of frozen zucchinis is 3–6 months.
